Grown in the fertile soils just outside of Hilo on the Big Island, this two ingredient bar is a pure example of the exceptional cacao grown here in Hawaii.
At Lonohana we are dedicated to showing the concept of terroir through chocolate and how different soils and climates influence the cacao beans. This farm lies three degrees farther south towards the equator than our estate on Oahu, where the soils and average rainfall are very different.
The warmer climate, along with impeccable farming techniques, enable these beans to produce chocolate which is dark, rich and powerful.
